Gated manual shifter mask

A solid aluminium replacement for the original 5-speed shifter surround, developed for a more tactile and mechanical cabin feel.

# The build

This shifter mask began with a simple goal: give the Copen a more deliberate, mechanical feel during spirited driving without permanently modifying the original console.

Each piece is CNC-machined from solid 6061 aluminium, deburred by hand and finished in matte black anodising. Several prototypes refined the gate spacing and edge profile against the OEM surround to reduce rattle and keep every shift smooth.

The finished part press-fits into place. Fixing it from behind is strongly recommended so it stays securely matched to the console under enthusiastic gear changes.
